The “old fashion way” response always makes me chuckle a little to myself because body shapers, specifically corsets have been around since the 16^th century! I’d call that old fashion for sure. But today body shapers come in all sizes and colors for a variety of body types for women and men and are much more comfortable than ever before.  The Body magic is just one of the many shapers on the market today.

The two companies are apparently Mexican based companies that have headquartered here in the United States for the primary purpose of marketing the body shaper products.  The two companies are headed by individuals that started out together in Mexico and separated subsequently.  They both know find them selves running two very successful companies doing very similar things.

The Ardyss Body magic is the hot product that Ardyss international markets to women.  The product is a reshaper that promises to drop you 2-3 sizes in 10 minutes.  This product is what most women refer to as body magic.  The product is marketed by distributors who sign up other distributors and they deliver the product through showcases that they have in the potential client’s home.

The Integrity a similar product is marketed by Firm International.  They haven’t got the market share that Ardyss has but with a product not much different it is only a matter of time before they will capture their share of the market.  Firm is set up as a multi level marketing company as well and claim to have a better compensation plan then Ardyss.  Firm not only has the Integrity but other products that are quite different from Ardyss.  Firm appears to have a few seamless products that women are looking for but that Ardyss does not have.  The Seamless Integrity and the Push Moo might be big sellers once the market becomes informed.

When you first glance at the company it appears to be a company dominated by women.  It is of course a product based company that appeals to women.  A closer look at the structure of the company however reveals something totally different.  There are many men in this company.  Some are doing the business solo and some are working with wives and or girlfriends to make this business one of the most dynamic businesses to hit the states in years.

One of the men that are working this business is T Gerard Powell of Chicago Illinois.  We got a chance to sit with him and talk with him about what he thought about the business and how he got started in the Ardyss.

Question    So T. Gerard tell us how you got started in Ardyss.

Answer:      I was introduced to the company by my girlfriend.  Well basically she asked me to come with her and listen to a presentation about a business opportunity.  I told her no problem and that is how I learned of Ardyss.

Question:  Well did you sign up that day?  Tell us what you thought?

Answer:    Well the thing that I was most impressed with was how the women were so positively affected when they put on the garment.  I mean I have been in business for over 20 years, the financial services industry and I never had anyone that happy about a product I sold them.  So I said to myself how hard is it to sell someone something that they love so much.  For me it was a no brainer I said to my girlfriend, “join and join quick this company is onto something”.

Question:  How do women react to you when they find out you are a distributor?

Answer:    I have a few women that say” hey what is a man doing selling body shapers”, but for the most part women find it easier to talk with a man about their bodies.  I guess since I’m not dating them I’m not a threat. I also find that most women don’t want there friends to know what they are doing to look so good.

Question:  Are there many men in the business?

Answer:    Actually there are quite a few men in the business some of the most successful distributors are men.  Also men are partners with there wives and girlfriends.  The first successful distributor I met was a man.

Ardyss International is a network marketing business, how did you get involved?

A lot of friends had done of network marketing. I was never interested.  I participated as a customer because they were involved. I was introduced to Ardyss by a girlfriend who was telling me about a reshaping garment, the Ardyss Body Magic shaper.  I tried it on; I loved it and then she told me it was a business and then I said, ‘wow I’ll be telling my girlfriends and guy friends about this for free’ so I decided to get involved with the business.

What about being Recession-proof, how did you do it?

Like many other people, with the continued uncertainties of the economy, I have tried to find ways to supplement my income and increase my savings in the event of emergencies. Starting my own business by becoming a distributor with Ardyss has given me the ability to create additional streams of income and share with others how to do the same.

But what about this business in particular?

This [business] hit home for me because I am a health conscious, I exercise and try to eat right, but I still had some problem areas.
